a key to business success and personal balance
Superbrands celebrated again in 2025
Hungary’s leading brands were presented with the Superbrands and Business Superbrands awards at a gala event in November. The award is recognized by both consumers and the business sector, symbolizing quality, stability, and reliability. In 2025, the Superbrands gala, one of Hungary’s most important business award events, was held with more than 150 participants.
One of the key messages of the Superbrands Program in 2025 is the importance of balancing the expectations of both consumers and businesses. A brand’s external communication is not limited to dialogue with its target group; it is also judged as a business partner during its activities. The Superbrands logo, as a trademark symbolizing the brand’s leading role, carries a similar dual message: it can simultaneously influence consumer decisions and strengthen trust in B2B relationships.

„Our long-standing mission as organizers of the Superbrands program in Hungary is to highlight not only the marketing and PR achievements of outstanding brands, but also the social awareness of the companies and their employees. Sustainability is another key focus of our work. Every year, we try to focus on a new aspect. Last year, on the occasion of our 20th anniversary, we explored the question of success, and this year we are trying to draw attention to the importance of creativity. Creativity helps not only in the business world, but also in everyday problem solving. To be creative, we need to take action in the workplace, in education, and in many aspects of life. Creativity is the art of everyday life, and it is the key not only to innovation and business success, but also to finding balance. This is the message of this year’s Superbrands gala.” said Géza László, director of the Superbrands Program in Hungary, in his opening speech at the gala ceremony.
CREATIVITY IS NOT THE PRIVILEGE OF ARTISTS, BUT THE KEY TO A FULLER LIFE FOR ALL OF US
Creativity provides guidance as a private individual and a lasting competitive advantage as a brand: it can take shape in new products, marketing, and a dynamic corporate culture. To be creative, we must take action in the workplace, in education, and in countless other areas of life. Creativity is the art of everyday life, key not only to innovation and business success, but also to finding balance. In this spirit, the organizers of the gala event presented two exciting creative projects as part of the evening.

NOTABLE CREATIVE PROJECTS
The Creative Learning and Education Foundation was established in the spring of 2022. Building on the successful developments of T-Tudok, launched in Pécs in 2014, the foundation helps to identify and develop creativity in schools and workplaces. They use creative methodologies, training and programs to motivate participants to shape their own learning and workplace environments with innovative ideas. Krisztina Vladár, the foundation’s artistic director, spoke about the foundation’s exciting work.

The event also welcomed Andrea Hegedűs, Ferenczy Noémi Award–winning textile designer and associate professor of textile design at METU. In October of this year, she won the TEXTILE ARTIST OF THE YEAR Award, as decided by the board of trustees of the Cultural Foundation for Textile Art. The award recognizes her outstanding artistic achievement, a career that authentically demonstrates what it means to be an artist today: to be an experimenter, a teacher, a thinker, and a creator all at once. The award also acknowledges the unique glass-textile technique developed by the artist, through which she has created a new genre in the field of contemporary interior textiles. Attendees were able to admire Andrea Hegedűs’s glass-textile technique on site, as her works decorated the surfaces of glass armrest tables manufactured by the brand Luminstation.

Following the gala dinner, participants were treated to a special musical concert, enjoying a solo performance by trumpet player Lőrinc Barabás. The artist has lived with limb loss since birth, but this does not hinder him in his trumpet or piano playing. His own compositions featured jazz trumpet, piano, and electronic melodies, balancing between spontaneous moments and carefully constructed compositions.

ABOUT THE SUPERBRANDS PROGRAM
„Superbrands are brands that have earned an excellent reputation in their field. The values associated with these brands offer emotional and/or hands-on benefits that consumers recognize and expect.” This was the principle behind the Superbrands international brand evaluation program selection system three decades ago, and it remains its credo to this day.
The Superbrands award has been presented in Hungary for 21 years, and this year marks the 18th time that the Business Superbrands award, which evaluates business brands, has been presented to deserving recipients. Each year, the Superbrands Program evaluates Hungary’s leading brands using a complex selection system and recognizes their success at a year-end gala evening with the presentation of the Superbrands and Business Superbrands awards.
Promoting the Superbrands award is a proven way to build consumer and business confidence, but winning the award does not guarantee lasting success for the brand: it must be earned again each year.
Brands do not apply to enter the Superbrands selection system; the national trademark database serves as an important starting point, and in the case of business brands, the Dun & Bradstreet corporate information database is also used, complemented by online research and data collection. Every year, the leading brands in the country’s market are sought in two categories: consumer brands and business brands. The selection process is supported by the votes of the Superbrands Expert Committee, which consists of around 40 independent experts, researchers, and educators.
The award ceremony is also an important occasion for presenting the Superbrands Yearbook. The book features the stories and case studies of the awarded brands, serving as a true source of inspiration and guidance for all of us.
